NJ-ACEP is partnered with various organizations in a
campaign to publicize the extended helmet law (to age
17) for those participating in activities with wheels(bikes,
scooter, skates, skateboards). The campaign is to not
only publicize this extension of wearing helmets from
age 14 to 17 but to encourage all on the importance of
wearing a helmet during these activities. You can see

I recently was present at the Governor's signing of the
bill to extend
the bicycle helmet law for children to age 17. At the
ceremony, NJACEP
was recognized as a group that deals with this issue on
the front lines,
and special acknowledgment was made, thanking us for the
great work we do. It was also very gratifying that several
other individuals in
attendance went out of their way to thank us (ER MD's)
for the job we
do.
